Limits

Check it yourself: your file is not uploaded

  1. Choose your PDF file on this page.
  2. Turn off Wi-Fi or mobile data.
  3. The tool still adds page numbers and saves the result because all processing occurs entirely within your browser.

On a computer, press F12 to inspect Network activity and confirm no request transmits your PDF.

Add page numbers to PDFs on your device

Add Page Numbers numbers each page of your PDF in your browser. Choose from four formats, six positions, font sizes from 8 to 18 pt, and an optional starting number.

All processing takes place locally on your computer or phone using pdf-lib. Your file is never uploaded to any server. If your document has pages rotated 90 or 270 degrees, the page numbers are automatically placed upright at the position you chose.
