- Limits
- 1 file, up to 100 MB
- You get
- A PDF document with page margins trimmed to your chosen box.
3. PDF cropped
How it works
- Choose your PDF. Drop or select a PDF document up to 100 MB.
- Adjust crop margins. Type margins in millimetres or drag the edges and handles on the page preview. Choose whether to crop all pages or only the current page.
- Crop and download. The tool sets the PDF CropBox boundaries in your browser and saves your cropped PDF file instantly.
Limits
- One PDF at a time, up to 100 MB: Processed entirely in your web browser.
- Minimum remaining size: Cropped dimensions must leave at least 0.5 inches (36 pt / ~12.7 mm) in width and height.
- Cropping hides, it does not delete: The area outside the crop is hidden, but the content is still in the file and can be shown again with a PDF editor. Do not rely on cropping to remove private text. A Redact tool for that is planned.
- Password-protected files: A password-protected PDF must be unlocked first before cropping. Use Unlock PDF to remove the password.
Check it yourself: your file is not uploaded
- Choose your PDF file on this page.
- Turn off Wi-Fi or mobile data.
- The tool still crops your PDF and saves the result because all processing occurs entirely within your browser.
On a computer, press F12 to inspect Network activity and confirm no request transmits your PDF.
Crop PDF page margins on your device
Crop PDF trims unwanted white borders, header and footer margins, or page edges from your PDF directly in your browser. Enter margins in millimetres or drag crop handles on the interactive page preview.
All cropping happens locally using pure client-side PDF processing. Your document is never uploaded to any external server. Pages with 90, 180, or 270-degree rotation are handled accurately relative to what you see on screen.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does QuickFileTools crop my PDF?
The tool updates each page's CropBox and TrimBox, the boundaries that tell PDF viewers which area to show. The content outside them stays in the file.
Can I crop pages with different rotations?
Yes. The preview renders each page in its viewed orientation, and margins you set are automatically mapped to the underlying PDF coordinate system regardless of rotation.
Does cropping reduce the file size of my PDF?
Do not expect it to. Cropping changes only the visible page boundary, so the hidden content stays in the file. If you need a smaller file, use our Compress PDF tool.
Is my sensitive PDF kept private?
Your file is cropped by your browser on your device and is never uploaded. Remember that cropped-off content stays in the file you download, so check it before you share it.
