1. Who we are

QuickFileTools (quickfiletools.in) is a free set of PDF and image tools run by QuickFileTools, a business based in India. See the About page.

2. Your files stay on your device

Every tool processes files inside your browser, on your phone or computer. Files you choose are not uploaded to us or to anyone else, and we never see, store or keep copies of them. When you close or reload the page, the files are gone from the tool. You can check this yourself: after a tool page has loaded, switch off your internet connection and the tool still finishes.

3. No accounts

There are no accounts, sign-ups or forms that collect your name, email address or phone number.

4. Information stored in your browser

• Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the name qft-theme.
• In browsers that support it, the site keeps a copy of its own pages, scripts and fonts so the tools open and work offline. This copy holds only the site's files, never yours, and you can remove it by clearing site data in your browser.
• When using OCR in PDF to Excel, the OCR engine and English data are downloaded from quickfiletools.in and kept in your browser's storage, and the PDF still never leaves your device.

5. Hosting, analytics and technical data

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and tools are used, so we know what to improve. It receives the pages you open, how many files you choose in a tool (never their names, sizes or contents) and basic technical information such as your browser, device type, approximate location from your IP address and how you arrived at the site. It sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_<id>, which last up to 2 years. Google Analytics never receives your files or their contents: files are processed on your device. Advertising features of Google Analytics are switched off. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics cookies are not used unless you consent. You can block Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or your browser's cookie settings. See Google's privacy policy.

6. Advertising

QuickFileTools is free and may show advertising from Google AdSense to cover its costs. Ads are loaded from Google's servers, not from this site.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google My Ad Center. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
• Google explains how it uses information from sites that show its ads in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
• If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before cookies are used for personalised ads, and you will be able to change your choice at any time. No ads are shown today.

Advertisers never receive your files. Files are processed on your device and are not sent to us, to Google or to anyone else.

7. Cookies

The cookie policy lists the cookies and browser storage the site and its advertising partners may use.

8. Links to other websites

Pages may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies.

9. Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

10. Data protection in India

QuickFileTools operates under the laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, where it applies. Because files are processed on your device and there are no accounts, we hold no personal information about you that we could share, correct or delete.

11. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
