What this tool does – and does not do

A picture of your signature

The signature is drawn into the page itself, so it shows in every PDF viewer and when printed. It is not a certificate-based digital signature and does not lock the document against later changes.

Private by design

Your PDF and your signature stay in this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded, and the signature is not saved – it is cleared when you leave the page.

Limits

PDFs up to 50 MB and 300 pages; up to 50 fields per document. Password-protected PDFs are not supported. Uploaded signature images are rebuilt as a clean PNG, so their hidden metadata is not copied into your PDF.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a legally valid digital signature?

This adds a picture of your signature to the PDF. It is not a certificate-based digital signature (such as a DSC or Aadhaar eSign) and does not prove who signed or detect later changes. Check whether your document needs a certified signature. Read the guide: Sign PDF without uploading.

Is my signature saved?

No. It stays in this tab and is cleared when you leave. It is never stored in your browser or sent anywhere.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The PDF is opened, signed and saved entirely in your browser. No file or signature data is sent to a server.

My PDF already has a digital signature. Can I add mine?

You can, but saving a new copy will make the existing digital signature invalid. The tool warns you and asks you to confirm before you download.

Can I sign a password-protected PDF?

No. Remove the password first, then sign the unlocked copy.

Check it yourself: your file is not uploaded

  1. Choose your file on this page.
  2. Turn off Wi-Fi or mobile data.
  3. Run the tool. It still finishes and saves the result, because all the work happens in your browser.

On a computer you can also open the browser's developer tools (F12), choose the Network tab and watch: no request carries your file.
